Cuisipro Coarse Grater

This grater combines razor-sharp etched blades with a grooved pattern, allowing cooks to grate larger quantities of food with less effort. The coarse grater is perfect for grating chocolate and shredding coconut for baking and decorating, as well as grating soft cheeses, vegetables, raw horseradish, hard-boiled eggs, and chilled butter for pastry.

Unlike conventional graters, where the cutting edges are formed by punching holes through stainless steel or tin, this grater's tiny razor-like edges are created using a photo-etching process, in which holes are dissolved with a chemical, leaving edges that finely shave or slice the food instead of tearing or shredding.

The handle has a secure non-slip grip, and a non-slip end for resting on the countertop while grating. A protective cover collects the grated food and doubles as a measuring device. The repeated groove pattern is spread evenly across the face of the grating surface, reducing resistance and making grating effortless, while also lengthening each individual blade, so that more food is grated with each stroke.
